Old English Script

The “Old English” calligraphy script is also known as “Blackletter” or “Gothic script.” It’s characterized by its ornate and angular letterforms, often associated with medieval manuscripts and early printed books. The script features thick, straight lines, intricate flourishes, and a vertical emphasis. Despite its name, it’s not actually related to Old English language but was widely used in Europe, especially in Germany and England, during the Middle Ages and Renaissance periods. Its distinct appearance makes it a popular choice for formal invitations, certificates, and decorative purposes.
