THE SISTINE CHAPEL IN 360 VIEW

Constructed between 1472 and 1483, according to Baccio Pontelli’s masterplans, the Sistine Chapel is the official place where the elections of every new pope are held by the conclave of the College of Cardinals.

The Chapel is also known for the famous artists such as Bernini, Botticelli or Raphael that decorated the walls with their paintings. Probably the most important paintings are those done by Michelangelo under the patronage of Pope Julius II, in center of the paintings being the famous “Creation of Adam”.
