FLORIOGRAPHY
The Victorian Language of Flowers, arose as a discreet means of communication
in an era when etiquette forbade open emotional expression. Originating in 1819,
it flourished throughout the 19th century in England and America, becoming a
hallmark of Victorian culture. Flower meanings stemmed from literature, mythology,
religion, and folklore, with florists often inventing new symbolism. High-society
women embraced this practice, adorning their hair and dresses or exchanging bouquets
as coded messages.
HYACINTH & OLIVE
Hyacinth symbolizes Forgiveness, a meaning rooted in Greek mythology. Paired
with Olive, it conveys Reconciliation and Peace.
